The Dybdahl Co. interprets old encyclopedias from the past. The Dybdahl Co. has explored various visual concepts, and the combination of the old and new has created a series of designs which mimics the classical world, while still remaining contemporary and expressing the right amount of “hygge”.
At The Dybdahl Co., they are heritage adventurers. They find material and inspiration from prints in rare books and hidden galleries, archives, libraries and museums. The Dybdahl Co. has collections from known and unknown artists and biologists, but common for them all: They all have a vintage, poetic look and a modern, Scandinavian touch.
Trends come and go, but some things never go out of style – like Flora and Fauna. These natural wonders will forever be sources of inspiration, and The Dybdahl Co.has chosen to cherish them by adding them to our designs. From the animal universe, The Dybdahl Co. offers everything from crawling insects, mysterious algae, fascinating lizards and impressive habitants of the savannah to beautiful birds, delicate butterflies and colourful fish. All prints are decorative and educational at the same time. In addition, The Dybdahl Co. has also adopted an environmental mind set, in minimizing waste by producing all posters based on actual orders.
